Just some recent fun moments to share

While her doll fit quite nicely, I think she was a little big for the cradle.
Brooke had a play date with her best friend, Danielle, and my friend Amy came over with her new baby, Poppy.  I thought the two were going to tear her apart fighting over who was going to hold her - This was a nice compromise.

Quality Grandpa time at the piano

Annual Father/Daughter Girl Scout Dance

Brooke's first year going to Father/Daughter - she was soooo excited.

My wall-of-weddings.  I'm in love with this newly decorated space - so much history.

Just another view...

Brooke's art work was selected to be on display at the Sussex Library - see next pic...

Her piece is the pink house on the left.

We went to the Domes for Music & Lights.  The featured band is known for playing all Beetles songs - Morgan was very excited and it was quality Morgan and B night - we left Macy with Mana and Papa.

March Madness

Yes, in a typical household, this would usually mean lots of basketball.  But in a house with three little girls...it just means the usual "house with 3 little girls madness" - oh, and a lot of skiing.  Here's a peek into our March...

What's wrong with this picture?
Yes, that is a two-year-old, sound asleep with a nook in her mouth and an iphone glued to her ear.  After playing "Traffic Rush", she "called grandpa" and then finally fell asleep (love the crossed legs:))

Father Daughter Ski Weekend
Ages: 16, 14, 13, 11, 10, 8, 7, 7, 6, & 5.  Three more on their way; 4, 2, & 1 - still too young to come.

Wine Hut Weekend
We rent a little hut on the hill to "chill and grill"

Happy Birthday Owen and Matt

Stella - aka "Chunka Munka"

Late night "jam"?
Nope, it's not grape jelly - it's a bloody nose.
She thought it was lotion so she "rubbed it in".

Loooong post

So, this is a loooong post, but its mostly pictures. : )

First, Dad and Jean's visit - TONS of fun and now the house is so quiet with them gone. I wish we had other visitors planned so I could look forward to that and it wouldn't seem so quiet (hint hint). We got up to lots of fun things:

Went antiquing in Aurora, a small town outside Portland.

Dad and Ashley installed the dimmer switch in the dining room, hurray! So excited.
We were also dog sitting for Josh and Michelle's dog Oliver and we all took a walk up Mt. Tabor.
We drove up to the infamous Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood (where the movie "The Shining" was filmed). Brrrr.
Dad and Jean wined and dined us - this was one of MANY delicious meals and glasses of wine.
The nightly routine: watch the news about the protests in Madison while Carmen cuddles with Jean on the couch.
Carmen and Oliver guard the house.
Ashley and Dad workin in the garage.
Miss them tons already, although I think we'd all gain 30 pounds if we kept eating and drinking as well as we did when we were all together. It was such a nice time.

Natale also visited us a few weeks ago - lots of yummy food, staying up late talking, a short hike in the gorge, shopping, etc. Ashley got some fun photos of the dinner Natale and I cooked for friends one night with his fish eye camera lens:

We made Julia Child's boef bourginon and opened the first bottle of wine from a case Jeff and Ryan gave us for a wedding present - so they were present en totem with Natale (had to represent the high school friends :)
And lastly, apparently this is enough snow to shut Portland down - schools were closed, we had a mandatory work from home day. It was great. Our first photos of our house in snow:

Redecorating Central

Finally took some pictures of the newly decorated bedrooms and bathroom.  Almost completely done - a few more details, but relieved to have it put back together - Whew!

Brooke's new room.  "It's Pinkalicious"

Macy's newly decorated room

Don't mind the blue painters tape - doing some line straightening.

Morgan's new room - still need a rug and valances are backordered.

Packers, Snow Storms and Beaches..Oh my!

Hi sisters.  Long-time-no-post.  If you haven't heard, I've been busy redecorating ALL 3 of the girls bedrooms - because I have nothing better to do - lol.  (More of that to come, with pictures of course, on my next post) Here are a few pics from the last 3 weeks.

Go Green & Gold!

Morgan doing the "Raji" in her cheese-head hat

I'll huff, I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down

Matt used Jahnke's bucket-loader to build a sledding hill right in our back yard!

And I got to escape it all for a few days!

Before and After (and some other things)

BEFORE

AFTER
During
Doug and Evelyn get us started on sheet rocking
Fritz and Ashley work on the floor
Ashley and Fritz cut the tile
We're finally pretty much finished with our little kitchen project! We took out the wall between the kitchen and the breakfast nook (getting rid of some pretty ugly wood paneling), replaced the floor between the rooms, painted, new fixtures, etc. We still need a table for the nook, but its pretty much done! So glad to have the kitchen clean and the fridge in the spot where it belongs. Couldn't have done it without Doug and Evelyn and Fritz and Susanne : )

And randomly, Ashley groomed Carmen today to make her pretty for Dad's upcoming visit :) I just thought it was a cute picture. She's so patient!

AND LASTLY, GO PACKERS! What a game! Wish I was there to watch it with you all and celebrate! Have a great week. XO
