A few small but exciting things this week...

We had a few cold, clear days this week and caught our first view of Mt. Hood from our bedroom window in the mornings. Now that the leaves are off the tree in front of that window, we sometimes get a peek at it when the sun is coming up (not the best picture but you can just see it...).

Deb - the birds have LOVED our feeder - I already need to refill it with seed (and its not empty from squirrels - its actually birds :)

And we have a really old, big azalea bush in our front yard that is already starting to pop some pink buds! Can't wait to see it this spring.

  1. Great pics. What kind of birds visit?

  2. They are some kind of sparrow (but I don't know what kind). There is a big swarm of them that love our dogwood and japanese maples in front of the kitchen window. We also have a hummingbird feeder that has been really busy all winter - I can't believe they stick around in the cold weather!
